My recent research examines how corporate environmental policies are shaped by non-market influences. For example, I study how government subsidies affect firms' incentives to pursue green transitions. The evidence suggests that subsidies impose operational constraints and soften environmental enforcement, increasing the pollution of subsidized businesses.
